Director of WHO’s Department of Reproductive Health and Research and UNDP/UNFPA/UNICEF/WHO/World Bank Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction. Marleen Temmerman is also the Chair of the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition, a global membership network of more than 270 reproductive health supplies organizations.

Elected senator, Professor of Gynaecology and Obstetrics with years of research and project implementation experience worldwide, Marleen Temmerman brings a unique blend of clinical, research, politics and parliamentary knowledge to WHO’s work on sexual and reproductive health. Working with the global community, she strives for a world where all women and men, including adolescents and those who are underserved or marginalized, have access to sexual and reproductive health information and services, and where their rights to health are promoted and protected.
